Privacy Policy

Niko Börger built the Dart Pro Training Sheet app (the "App") as a free, ad-supported app that is free to download and offers an optional premium upgrade as an in-app purchase. This page explains what information is processed when you use the App, why it is processed, and the choices and rights you have. The App is available on Android and on iOS, and this policy applies to both versions. Where a practice applies to only one platform, this is stated explicitly. By using the App, you agree to the processing of information as described in this policy.

This policy is effective as of 2026-06-16.

Who Is Responsible (Data Controller)

The controller responsible for processing your personal data under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) is:

Niko Börger
Gottfried-Keller-Straße 9
22848 Norderstedt
Deutschland

Information Collection and Use

Your training data (your games, scores, and statistics) is stored locally on your device. I do not operate a server or backend that stores this data, and I do not collect it.

On Android, you can optionally sign in with your Google account to back up your training data. This backup is stored in your own Google Drive and is not stored on any server operated by me. When you sign in, your Google account email address is used to authenticate you. Sign-in events, including your Google account email address, are also recorded in the App's analytics (Google Analytics for Firebase), so that I can see that a login occurred and identify your records if you ask me to delete them. Signing in is optional.

On iOS, the App does not offer sign-in or cloud backup. Your training data stays on your device.

The App is ad-supported and uses third party services that collect information from your device for advertising, analytics, and crash reporting. Depending on your platform and your choices, this may include your device's advertising identifier, advertising data (such as which ads you have seen or interacted with), approximate (IP-based) location, app usage and product interaction data, and crash diagnostics. These categories are described in more detail in the sections below.

Third-Party Services

The App uses the following third party services. Each provider processes data under its own privacy policy:

Advertising

The App is supported by advertising delivered through Google AdMob. To show ads and measure their performance, AdMob and its advertising partners may collect and process your device's advertising identifier, advertising data, approximate (IP-based) location, and similar device and usage information. Users who purchase the premium upgrade are not shown ads.

When you allow tracking, your advertising identifier may be used to link your activity across other companies' apps and websites in order to deliver personalized advertising. If you do not allow tracking, the App still shows ads, but they are non-personalized (contextual) and your advertising identifier is not used to track you.

On iOS, the advertising identifier is the Identifier for Advertisers (IDFA), and you are asked for permission through the system App Tracking Transparency prompt. You can change this choice at any time in iOS Settings under Privacy and Security, then Tracking, where you can also reset your advertising identifier.

On Android, the advertising identifier is the Google Advertising ID. You can reset it or opt out of ad personalization at any time in your device Settings under Google, then Ads.

Analytics and Crash Reporting

The App uses Google Analytics for Firebase to understand how the App is used, and Firebase Crashlytics to detect and diagnose crashes and errors. For crash reporting, the App collects information such as your device Internet Protocol (IP) address, device name, operating system version, the configuration of the App at the time of the error, the time and date of the error, and other diagnostic statistics.

Legal Bases for Processing

I process personal data on the following legal bases under Article 6(1) GDPR:

  • Consent (Art. 6(1)(a)): personalized advertising and analytics, where consent is required (see "Your Privacy Choices" below). You can withdraw consent at any time.
  • Legitimate interests (Art. 6(1)(f)): crash reporting and app stability, security, and the display of non-personalized advertising to fund the free App.
  • Performance of a contract / your request (Art. 6(1)(b)): providing the optional Google Drive backup feature when you sign in, and processing your in-app purchase of the premium upgrade.

Your Privacy Choices (EEA, UK, and Switzerland)

If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, the App shows a consent message (provided through Google's User Messaging Platform) before personalized ads and analytics are used, so that you can give or refuse consent in line with the GDPR and similar laws. You can review or withdraw your consent at any time from the App's About screen, under "Manage Ad Consent".

Data Retention

Training data stored locally on your device remains until you delete it or uninstall the App. A Google Drive backup (Android only) remains in your Google Drive until you delete it or request deletion (see "Deleting Your Data" below). Data processed by third party services is retained according to each provider's own retention periods, which are described in the privacy policies linked above (for example, Firebase Crashlytics retains crash data for a limited period by default, and AdMob and Firebase Analytics retain data according to Google's retention settings).

International Data Transfers

The third party services used by the App are operated by Google LLC and Apple Inc., which may process data in the United States and in other countries outside the EEA. Where data is transferred outside the EEA, the transfer is based on appropriate safeguards, such as the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework and the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses. You can find details in the providers' privacy policies linked above.

Your Rights

If you are in the EEA, the UK, or Switzerland, you have the following rights regarding your personal data:

  • the right of access (Art. 15 GDPR);
  • the right to rectification (Art. 16 GDPR);
  • the right to erasure (Art. 17 GDPR);
  • the right to restriction of processing (Art. 18 GDPR);
  • the right to data portability (Art. 20 GDPR);
  • the right to object to processing (Art. 21 GDPR);
  • the right to withdraw consent at any time, without affecting prior processing.

To exercise any of these rights, contact me at [Please enable Javascript]. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority. The authority competent for me is the Unabhängiges Landeszentrum für Datenschutz Schleswig-Holstein (ULD), but you may also contact the authority in your country of residence.

California Privacy Rights (CCPA/CPRA)

If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act, provides you with additional rights. The categories of personal information processed through the App are identifiers (such as your advertising identifier and, on Android, your Google account email address), approximate (IP-based) location, internet and app activity (usage and product interaction), and diagnostic data.

When personalized ads are enabled, the App allows advertising partners to use your advertising identifier and approximate location to deliver ads across other companies' apps and websites. Under California law, this may be considered a "sale" or "sharing" of personal information. You have the right to opt out of this "sale" or "sharing". You can do so by declining the App Tracking Transparency prompt on iOS, by opting out of ad personalization on Android (Settings, then Google, then Ads), or by refusing consent where a consent message is shown.

You also have the right to know what personal information is collected, to access and delete it, to correct it, and to not be discriminated against for exercising these rights. To exercise these rights, contact me at [Please enable Javascript].

Deleting Your Data

Training data stored on your device is removed when you delete it in the App or uninstall the App. On Android, your Google Drive backup is stored in your own Google Drive: you can delete it there directly, or revoke the App's access to your Google account in your Google account settings. The login information I can see (your Google account email address recorded in the App's analytics) can be deleted on request: write to me, naming the Google email address you used to sign in, and I will delete those records. See the Request Data Deletion page for details.

In-App Purchases

The App offers an optional premium upgrade as an in-app purchase, which unlocks additional features and removes ads. Purchases are processed by the platform's store (Google Play on Android, the App Store on iOS). The store handles your payment; I do not receive or store your payment card details. I may receive confirmation that a purchase was made in order to enable the premium upgrade.

Cookies and Similar Technologies

The App is a native mobile app and does not use browser cookies. The third party services described above use device identifiers and similar technologies to provide advertising, analytics, and crash reporting, as described in their privacy policies.

Security

I value your trust in providing your personal data, and I strive to use commercially acceptable means of protecting it. However, no method of transmission over the internet or method of electronic storage is 100% secure, and I cannot guarantee its absolute security.

Links to Other Sites

The App may contain links to other sites. If you click on a third-party link, you will be directed to that site. These external sites are not operated by me. I strongly advise you to review the privacy policy of these websites. I have no control over and assume no responsibility for the content, privacy policies, or practices of any third-party sites or services.

Children's Privacy

The App is a general-audience app and is not directed to children. It is not enrolled in Google Play's Families program or Apple's Kids category. I do not knowingly collect personal data from children. Under the GDPR, the age of digital consent in Germany is 16; in other countries it may be as low as 13. If you are below the applicable age, please do not use the App without the consent of a parent or guardian. If I become aware that a child has provided personal data without the required consent, I will take steps to delete that data and to disable any associated data collection. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided personal data, please contact me so that I can take the necessary action.

Changes to This Privacy Policy

I may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. You are advised to review this page periodically for any changes. I will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page.
